The rot is spreading. Treat the rot. 
But the treatment hurts. So 
numb the treatment. But the numbness 
aches. So pierce the numbness. But 
the piercing bleeds, so hide the 
bleeding. But the wound still festers, 
and begins to rot. The rot is spreading. 
So treat the rot.
